Exploring Data, Creativity, and the Ways We Connect
I'm Diya—a double major in Data Science and Economics with certificates in Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My work sits at the intersection of data, economics, and real estate, exploring how data can inform smarter, more sustainable development..
Right now, I'm building an AI pipeline to extract insights from 500+ scientific research papers, leading two student organizations, and writing essays that explore how we form connections in an increasingly digital world.
Before Madison, I spent a year at the University of Iowa where I made the Dean's List with a 4.03 GPA, and worked as a Research Assistant in the Economics department, supporting economic research and data analysis.
I believe the best insights come from combining rigorous analysis with genuine curiosity about people. Whether I'm cleaning a dataset, planning a book club event, or crafting a Substack essay, I'm always looking for the story that connects it all.

My Approach
The principles that guide how I work and create.
Rigor Meets Curiosity
I believe the best insights emerge when analytical precision meets genuine wonder about people and systems. Data tells stories—my job is to listen carefully.
Community First
Whether it's a book club or a research lab, I'm drawn to spaces where people learn together. Building genuine connections is always worth the investment.
Craft in Communication
Complex ideas deserve clear expression. I spend as much time refining how I communicate insights as I do discovering them in the first place.
